Cause of Accident Signal passed at danger
Description The 17:54 Kings Cross to Grantham goods train passed a signal at danger, smashed into the buffers and then into the signal box at Hornsey. The driver and fireman leapt from the engine, as did the signalman from the box. Driver was crushed to death.
